Never question your font sizes again – this spreadsheet takes your current font sizes (H1-H5, Body, etc.) and proportionally scales them based on your desired new Body Copy or H1 size, so your type always looks proportional across every medium.

If you’ve ever set your type sizes in a document and begun designing on a website or on another platform, you’ve probably had to do some serious type math.

For example, your body size in a social media template might need to be set at 22pt, whereas for print it might look best at 12pt, but you prefer 16pt on the website. So what does that mean for your header size, or your button size? How do you keep everything looking consistent when the sizes are always changing?

Enter this spreadsheet. I made this to keep my type perfectly proportional across platforms as I was designing templates, and it worked like a charm.

You just enter either your type hierarchy sizes (H1, H2, H3, Body, etc.), and the spreadsheet will calculate the proportions between each so that when you need to change either your body size or your H1 size, the other sizes automatically adjust to match.

That way, you know your type will look proportionally the same from web, to print, to social.

I hope this helps!! PLEASE let me know if you have any thoughts or feedback – I’d love to incorporate any ideas you have to make this even more helpful!
